Pam Watts
I’ve been interested in photography since I was 10 years old when I was given my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic. I then progressed to an SLR on my 18th birthday. I’ve been a member of SBACC since March 2017. I planned to join a camera club when moving to Dorset, with the aim of improving my photographic knowledge. On my first visit to the Club I found a friendly, welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Joining the Club quickly focused my mind on getting off auto settings, shooting in RAW and generally learning how to use my camera properly and also learning about post processing techniques. My photographic interests are varied, I particularly like mono photography, flower/close-up, woodland and landscape. Since joining the Club my photography has improved with the help of knowledgeable members and outside tuition. I’ve even managed to win and be placed in the odd Club competition!
